Crescent Blinds is a family run business which makes it much more than just a job to us. We strive to make the process of choosing your window dressing as enjoyable and straight forward as possible. We treat all customers as individuals and listen to your requirements to help you choose the product that’s right for you. Once you have had your blind installed that is not the end as far as we are concerned, we will always be here should you need us. As the vast majority of our work is repeat business or word of mouth we really do believe that not only the product must meet your needs but we must also with the level of customer service you receive from us.

1994

What started in a small workshop became the seed of something bigger – Gerard began crafting blinds for the trade, driven by a passion for quality and precision.

1996

Recognising the need for a complete service, the business expanded to include surveying, manufacturing, and fitting, offering customers a seamless start-to-finish experience.

1998

Christine, Gerard’s wife, officially joined the business. With her strong work ethic and natural eye for detail, she quickly became an integral part of the growing operation.

Late 1990's

Gerard and Christine took their business into the retail spotlight with a concession in B&Q, gaining valuable insights and building direct relationships with everyday homeowners.

2000

Joining the Apollo group marked a new chapter, connecting them with industry innovations and a larger network of professionals.

2001

A major milestone was the opening of our physical shop in Cookridge. This gave customers a welcoming place to explore products, get expert advice, and experience our family’s commitment firsthand.

2006

Andrew, fresh from university and full of ideas, joined his parents in the family business, bringing a new generation of energy into the fold. This was his old van than he used to visit clients with.

2008

We proudly became a Luxaflex Dealer, adding an exclusive, high-quality range to our offering and reinforcing our reputation for premium products.

2012

With over a decade of experience behind us, we stepped into full independence. Crescent Blinds was established as a retail brand in its own right, giving us the freedom to offer a wider variety of trusted brands and solutions tailored to every customer’s needs.

2018

Continuing the family legacy, Laura joined the team. Her fresh perspective and shared passion for service helped solidify Crescent Blinds as a warm, reliable, and knowledgeable presence in the community.

2023

To celebrate over 20 years in Cookridge, we gave our showroom a full transformation, the first since it opened. The refit reflects not just our evolution, but our future: contemporary, considered, and customer-focused.

British Blind & Shutter Association

As an accredited member of the British Blind & Shutter Association (BBSA), we uphold the highest standards in craftsmanship, safety, and customer care. Members are rigorously vetted which requires years‑in‑business, comprehensive insurance and ongoing training. We prioritise child safety via the Make It Safe campaign, benefit from annual re‑accreditation, and offer free mediation if needed.
